DC Kishtwar Leads Meeting to Improve Machail Mata Yatra
Kishtwar, 03-05-2024 With the goal of enhancing the quality of facilities in the Machail area ahead of the Shree Machail Mata Ji Yatra, Dr. Devansh Yadav IAS, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, today chaired a meeting with all relevant departments, executing agencies, contractors, and discussed various developmental issues for the area.
The meeting was attended by ADC Koshtwar, Pawan Kotwal, ACD Kishtwar Phulail Singh, SDM Paddar Amit Kumar, AO to DC Satender Singh Chouhan, CMO Kishtwar, ExEn PWD, ExEn Jal Shakti, ExEN PDD, ExEn PMGSY, BDO Paddar, among others.
During the meeting, DC Kishtwar reviewed various ongoing developmental projects aimed at facilitating the Yatries.Detailed discussions were held on completing the Yatra Bhawan at Gulab Garh,readiness of Sapphire Guest House,Alpine Hut, repairing various Yatra facilities like sanitary complexes, developing the area around the Bhawan, ensuring proper power and water supply during the Yatra, boarding and lodging arrangements for Yatries, developing roads and bridges and the preparation of effective Traffic Management Plan from Gulab Garh to Machail.Several directives were issued to the relevant officers present in the meeting.
DC Kishtwar also stressed the identification of black spots and the installation of crash barriers, road signages, and other measures on the Paddar route to ensure the Yatra proceeds smoothly.The XEN JPDCL Kishtwar was directed to upgrade the height of the existing solar power plant in the Machail area, as well as establish another solar power plant for the Yatri Bhawan this year at Gulabgarh.The need for solar power supply to the Yatri Bhawan of Gulabgarh was also emphasised in the meeting.
DC Kishtwar also urged the construction of sheds in the Temple complex for the benefit of Yatries, along with the construction of a concrete path from the previous year’s tent city to Darshani Dwar, in addition to providing additional parking facilities for Yatries at Gulabgarh.SDM Paddar was tasked with overseeing the overall progress of these projects to ensure their completion well before the start of the Yatra this year.
