DC Kishtwar Holds Grievance Redressal Camp, Announces New Health Initiatives

In a significant move to address public grievances directly, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav, IAS, presided over a Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Bimal Nag in Saroor Block Drabshalla. This initiative was part of the Weekly Block Diwas program.
The event witnessed the presence of ACR Kishtwar Idrees Lone, ACD Kishtwar Phulail Singh, DSWO Kishtwar Zubair Ahmed Lone, ALC Kishtwar Mamta Sudershan, CAO Kishtwar Amjad Hussain Malik, and other district and sectoral officers.
Residents welcomed Dr. Devansh Yadav warmly. The session started with updates on actions taken from previous grievances. Public delegations, led by local figures, highlighted needs in infrastructure, health, education, and public services.
Dr. Yadav made several on-the-spot announcements, including the establishment of labor rooms and deployment of doctors in Health & Wellness Centres of Tatani and Drabshalla under CSR.
He directed the ExEN PMGSY Division Kishtwar to repair the Chalasso Tatani Road and construct retaining walls.
Additionally, he assured the public of the expedited work on Kalchanda Road and Sirodh Tatani Road under PMGSY and steps to operationalize the Grid Station at Joshana. Issues like payment to landowners, road clearance, and land demarcation were also addressed.
The Deputy Commissioner discussed enhancing water supply, initiating SRTC Bus Service from Kishtwar to Kalchanda, constructing a Mini Hydel project, and providing employment opportunities for local youth in HEPP, Ratle.
He encouraged farmers to utilize schemes under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).Furthermore, Dr. Yadav emphasized the development of a master plan for TRC Bimal Nag to boost tourism and employment.
A mega cleanliness drive under Swachhta Pakhwara was launched to promote cleanliness among visitors. Senior citizen kits were distributed by the Social Welfare Department Kishtwar.
This initiative reflects the district administration’s commitment to resolving public issues and improving the quality of life for Kishtwar residents.
