Comviva Appoints Rajesh Chandiramani as New CEO Amid 25th Anniversary

Comviva, a global leader in customer experience and data monetization solutions, announced that Rajesh Chandiramani has assumed the role of CEO and Whole-time Director, effective June 1, 2024. This leadership transition marks Comviva’s 25th anniversary, underscoring its ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in Intelligent Software Platforms.
Rajesh Chandiramani succeeds Manoranjan “Mao” Mohapatra, who retired at the end of May 2024 after a remarkable tenure. Mohapatra will continue to contribute to Comviva’s strategic direction as a Non-Executive Director on the Board.
Chandiramani joins Comviva with over three decades of leadership experience. Previously, he held senior roles at Tech Mahindra, including Business Unit Head for strategic markets and head of the Global Digital Business, where he drove initiatives in Cloud, Data and Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Blockchain. His leadership was pivotal in expanding Tech Mahindra’s presence across the UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, Japan, and India.
Atul Soneja, Chairman of the Board at Comviva, welcomed Chandiramani’s appointment, stating, “Rajesh’s appointment as CEO marks a strategic transition for Comviva, reflecting our commitment to sustained growth and innovation. Before Tech Mahindra, Chandiramani was Global Sales Officer at Capgemini and held significant roles in BCGI, Comverse, Tata, Global Telesystems, and Hughes Network Systems. He holds degrees in Engineering and Marketing Management from the University of Mumbai and has completed management development programs at Harvard Business School and Ross Business School, Michigan University.
