Complete Suspension of Hazratbal Shrine Officers and Staff Due to Neglect of Duty
The Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board has taken decisive action in response to a significant lapse in duty during the celebration of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) at the Hazratbal shrine. This move comes following complaints received from the public and a surprise visit by the Chairperson to the shrine.
In response to these concerns, the Chairperson issued an order suspending all officers and staff members at the Hazratbal shrine. The order revealed that a thorough evaluation of the situation had identified a serious dereliction of duty by the staff, resulting in considerable inconvenience to devotees.

Despite previous directives and guidance provided to the officers and ground staff, it was noted that they had repeatedly failed to provide the necessary facilities and services to the devotees. As a result of this grave negligence in the discharge of their responsibilities, the decision to suspend all officers and staff members at the Hazratbal shrine was made with immediate effect.
To ensure a comprehensive investigation into the matter, an inquiry team, led by the Chairperson, has been established. This team will diligently probe the issues surrounding the negligence of duties at the shrine, thereby taking necessary steps to address the concerns raised by the public.
