
Cluster University of Jammu Partners With FICCI-FLO Jammu, kashmir & Ladakh for Women Empowerment
Jammu, 22 July 2026: The Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) and the FICCI-FLO Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh Chapter today signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at empowering women through education, skill development, and entrepreneurship.
The agreement marks the beginning of a transformative partnership dedicated to bridging the gap between academia and industry, and between knowledge and application.
The MoU was formally signed by Ms. Ankur Mahajan, JKAS, Registrar, Cluster University of Jammu, and Ms. Vasha Bansal, Chairperson, FICCI FLO JKL, in the esteemed presence of dignitaries from both institutions.
Sr. Prof. (Dr.) K.S. Chandrasekar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, CLUJ, presided over the event and emphasized the university’s commitment to nurturing future leaders and strengthening the workforce through the empowerment of female students.
He expressed confidence that this collaboration would create an ecosystem where every young woman of the Cluster University of Jammu could realize her full potential.

Ms. Varsha Bansal, Chairperson, FICCI-FLO, highlighted the organization’s dedication to empowering women across all stages of life and noted that this partnership marks a significant step towards creating meaningful opportunities for young women in the region.
Ms. Aarti Chowdhary, Past Chairperson, FICCI FLO JKL, whose vision and relentless efforts laid the foundation for this collaboration, expressed her enthusiasm, stating that the forum believes in the power to empower, and that empowered women can empower other women.
The partnership aims to achieve a multitude of objectives, broadly categorized as Skill Development & Financial Empowerment, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Expert Engagement and Knowledge Exchange, Extension and Outreach Activities, Health and Wellness.
A central feature of the collaboration is the formation of the FICCI FLO Young Women Affinity Group (YWAG) on the campus of Cluster University of Jammu. This group will foster peer learning, capacity building, and professional growth, creating a supportive ecosystem for female students.
The ceremony was graced by distinguished dignitaries from Cluster University of Jammu, including Prof. Twinkle Suri, Dean of Academic Affairs, Prof. (Dr.) Ranvijay Singh, Controller of Examinations, Mr. Nagesh Jamwal, Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer, Dr. Meenakshi Bandral, Director, IQAC, Dr. Shafia Saleem, Director Extension and Outreach, Dr. Avtar Changotra, Department of Chemistry.
From FICCI FLO Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, esteemed dignitaries included Ms. Varuna Anand past Chairperson and National Initiative Head and Ms. Aarti Chowdhary, Former Chairperson, JK & L.
