Cloudburst in Kulgam Claims One Life, Another Injured
SRINAGAR: A man lost his life and another was injured following a cloudburst in the Damhal Hanjipora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday, officials reported.
The incident occurred in the Banward area of DH Pora. Rescue operations were swiftly launched upon receiving the news. “One person died in the incident, while another sustained injuries. Police and civil administration are on the spot,” an official said.
The deceased has been identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Chouhan, son of Mohammad Hussain Chouhan of Bangward Bala. The injured individual is Rafakat Ahmad Chouhan, also son of Mohammad Hussain Chouhan from Bangward Bala.
Tehsildar DH Pora, Zahid Ahmad, stated that a team has been dispatched to the location and further details will be provided later.
