Doda’s Clock Tower, commonly called as, “Ghanta Ghar Doda” has become a talkative talk in the town and across the district.

As per, a video recorded on time, the clock watch gives a shocking time of 5pm & 2pm on two sides when, actually the time was 12:30pm.

A video recorded by VoM team, shows that during upward movement towards Bus stand, clock shows correct time and same during Downwards movement from bus stand to Post office side. But, when facing the SSP Office & PDD Office, the clock shows 5pm, whereas the clock installed on Dessa side shows 2:00pm.

Now, question arises, who tick to clock during this time. This may seem joking, but reality behind this, the clock tower in Doda is a symbol of attendance of govt employees, office tuning, and also intake a cultural value. It is some how true, that nobody or majority didn’t see the time on clock, it question is, when crores of rupees are spent on the construction of clock tower Doda, then why it would show wrong time.

In case, a tourist visit Doda, it can seem as an ackward movement. So, administration should spend some repairing, maintenance amount on changing the systematic cells of the clocks or change the clock.
