Dipke said he was prepared to face detention, maintaining that CJP supporters would peacefully participate in the protest carrying the national flag.

The CJP has called on supporters to gather at Central Park, Connaught Place, at 5 pm as part of its protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.

Central Park, however, has been closed to the public on October 16 and 17, while prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the BNSS remain in force in the area. Delhi Police has said it could facilitate a group of 11 people to carry the national flag and sing the national anthem at a suitable location.
