    National Disaster Mitigation Fund Allocation: Rs 561.29 Crore for Chennai Basin Project

    The approved urban flood mitigation project for Chennai is backed by the National Disaster Mitigation Fund (NDMF), with a total allocation of Rs 561.29 crore. Out of this, Rs 500 crore constitutes Central assistance. The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to investing in disaster mitigation measures and ensuring the safety and well-being of urban populations.
