Budgam Police Arrest Suspect in Theft Case, Recover Stolen Goods

Police in Budgam have successfully solved a recent theft case by arresting the individual responsible and recovering the stolen property. The case was brought to light when Police Station Khansahib received a complaint from a local shopkeeper, Ab Majeed Kumar, son of Ab Gani Kumar, a resident of Checksara Khansahib.
Kumar reported that during the night of August 6-7, 2024, unknown persons had broken into his shop at Check Shaira, stealing various items and cash.
Acting on the complaint, the police registered an FIR No. 142/2024 under relevant sections of the law at Police Station Khansahib and promptly initiated an investigation. During the course of the investigation, several suspects were interrogated.
One individual, identified as Farooq Ahmed Ganie, also known as Dil Jaley, son of Gh Ahmad Ganaie from Katchpuran, was questioned and eventually confessed to his involvement in the crime.
Upon his confession, the police conducted a search, which led to the recovery of the stolen items and cash from his possession. The accused, Farooq Ahmed Ganie, was then arrested and taken into custody at the police station.
The swift action by the Budgam police not only led to the apprehension of the culprit but also ensured that the stolen property was returned to its rightful owner.
However, the investigation is still ongoing, and the police are continuing their efforts to uncover any additional details related to the case.
This incident highlights the diligence and efficiency of the Budgam police in solving cases and maintaining law and order in the region.
