    • BSNL claims the top position in India’s fixed-line ranking for 2025–2026, leading on every key performance indicator in the overall category.

    nPerf’s annual barometer of fixed-line Internet performance in India for 2025–2026 reveals a market in full acceleration, with BSNL rising to lead the overall ranking while all operators post strong gains in Download speed (Mb/s). Discover the full results in the press release.

    BSNL tops India’s fixed-line barometer for 2025–2026 with an overall score of 89 174 nPoints, climbing from second place the previous year as part of a consistent upward trajectory observed across five consecutive years. The operator leads on every key indicator in the overall category, recording a strong progression in Download speed (Mb/s) — up 21% year-on-year to 78.5 Mbps overall and 198.5 Mbps on FTTH — while also posting the best Upload speed (Mb/s) and Latency (ms) figures. On WiFi, BSNL confirms this all-around strength with a score of 85 479 nPoints, ahead of both Airtel and Jio.

    Airtel follows closely in second position with an overall score of 74 975 nPoints, gaining one place compared to the previous period in line with a steadily positive five-year trend. The operator records a solid 10% progression in Download speed (Mb/s) year-on-year, reaching 62.4 Mbps overall and an impressive 241.7 Mbps on FTTH — the highest FTTH Download speed (Mb/s) among all operators this period. On WiFi, Airtel maintains competitive Web Browsing (%) and Youtube streaming (%) scores, reflecting a strong daily-use experience for subscribers.

    Jio completes the overall podium with a score of 73 957 nPoints, distinguishing itself with the highest Download speed (Mb/s) in the overall category at 79.6 Mbps — a strong progression of 33% year-on-year. On FTTH, Jio leads the overall score with 126 334 nPoints, confirming the solid performance of its fiber network, and its five-year trajectory remains upward.

    Measurements are based on tests conducted via the nPerf website and the nPerf app on Android and iOS.
