BSF Officer Alerts: 250-300 Terrorists Await Infiltration into Jammu and Kashmir
A top officer from the Border Security Force (BSF) issued a cautionary statement, revealing that approximately 250 to 300 terrorists are currently positioned at launchpads along the border, poised for potential infiltration into Jammu and Kashmir. Inspector General Ashok Yadav emphasized that while these intelligence inputs were concerning, the security forces, alongside the Army, have fortified vulnerable areas and remain on high alert.
Addressing reporters in Pulwama district, south Kashmir, Yadav assured the public that the vigilant BSF and Army personnel stationed in border regions are prepared to thwart any attempted incursions. “We are confident in our ability to prevent any infiltration,” he stated firmly.
Yadav underscored the growing rapport between the security forces and the residents of Kashmir in recent years. He highlighted the significance of cooperation from the local populace, emphasizing that with their support, developmental initiatives could progress more effectively in the region.
The officer’s statement serves as a warning regarding the presence of a considerable number of terrorists waiting at launchpads, heightening concerns over potential cross-border infiltrations. Despite this threat, the assurance of heightened vigilance and preparedness from the security forces signifies a determined effort to safeguard the region and its inhabitants from any hostile actions.
