“BJP’s Allegations Against Congress: Corruption, Dynastic Politics, and Apathy”
In a recent rally at Bhojpur, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief J P Nadda launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing it of indulging in corruption, familism (pariwarvad), and dynastic politics (vanshvaad). Nadda contrasted this with the BJP’s commitment to development, progress, and protecting citizens’ rights. He emphasized the BJP’s goal to convert policies into developmental actions, in stark contrast to Congress, which he accused of betraying public trust and engaging in corrupt practices.
“Nadda Critiques Rahul Gandhi and Congress’s Stance on Hindu Traditions and Ram Mandir”
Nadda also took a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, questioning his understanding and respect for Hindu traditions, specifically the ‘Janeu’ – a sacred thread in Hinduism. Furthermore, he criticized the Congress for its previous stance on the Ram Mandir, alleging that they once dismissed Lord Ram as an imaginary figure without scientific or historical basis. This, he pointed out, starkly contrasted with their current actions, as Congress leaders now pay homage at Hindu religious sites. Nadda highlighted BJP’s commitment to the Ram Mandir, mentioning the scheduled inauguration date, reinforcing the party’s alignment with Hindu beliefs and traditions.
“Allegations of Congress’s ‘Missing Model’ in Development”
During the rally, Nadda labeled the Congress party’s governance as a ‘laapata model’ (missing model), accusing them of failing in providing basic amenities like water, electricity, and road development during their tenure. He also alleged that former Chief Minister Kamal Nath halted welfare schemes for unorganized laborers, a policy reversed by the BJP government under Shivraj Singh Chouhan, which allocated substantial funds for the Sambal Yojana.
“Upcoming State Polls and Political Dynamics in Madhya Pradesh”
The state of Madhya Pradesh is poised for legislative assembly polls on November 17, with the results to be declared on December 3. The last state assembly elections in 2018 saw Congress rise to power with Kamal Nath as Chief Minister. However, a major political shift occurred in 2020 when Jyotiraditya Scindia and 22 MLAs switched allegiance to the BJP, leading to the fall of the Congress government and the reinstatement of Shivraj Singh Chouhan as Chief Minister.
