BJP-led NDA to Sweep Bihar in Upcoming Lok Sabha Elections: Nitish Kumar

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, in a confident statement during the assembly session, declared that the BJP-led NDA (National Democratic Alliance) would secure all 40 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Kumar, the JD(U) president, emphasized his unwavering commitment to his old allies, despite past uncertainties, asserting that the collaboration would endure.

Recalling Past Victories and Setting Future Expectations

Reflecting on the NDA’s performance in the previous parliamentary polls, where they secured all but one seat in Bihar, Nitish Kumar expressed certainty about sweeping all seats in the upcoming elections. He drew parallels with the NDA’s success in the 2010 assembly polls, winning over 200 seats out of 243, and anticipated a repeat performance in the next Vidhan Sabha elections.

Critique of Opposition and Response to Allegations

During his 40-minute address, Nitish Kumar criticized the RJD-led opposition for staging a walkout instead of participating in the debate. He dismissed allegations that the JD(U)’s poor performance in the 2020 assembly polls was a result of a conspiracy by Chirag Paswan, then LJP president. Kumar emphasized that the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic clouded their understanding, but he now sees no cause for concern.
