
Biker Killed, Pillion Rider Injured in Road Accident in North Kashmir
A biker lost his life while his pillion rider sustained injuries in a road accident near Chatloora in Baramulla district on Thursday afternoon.
An official said that a bike bearing registration number JK05F 1474 met with an accident near the Chatloora-Watergam crossing, injuring the biker and his pillion rider.
The duo has been identified as Farhad Khursheed, son of Khursheed Ahmad Bhat, and Furqan Mushtaq, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, both residents of Watergam, Baramulla. The official said they were taken to Dangiwacha hospital, where Farhad Khursheed was declared dead on arrival.
“The other person has been referred to GMC Baramulla in critical condition,” the official added.
A police official, confirming the incident, said that they have taken cognisance of the matter for further investigation. (KB)
