Belarusian Ambassador to India, Mikhail Kasko, reaffirmed his country’s support for India’s “Make in India” and “Smart Cities” initiatives while highlighting successful cooperation in modern pharmaceutical production. He emphasized Belarus’s readiness to bolster India’s industrial cluster and modernize its agricultural sector.
Ambassador Kasko emphasized the constructive political dialogue and growing trade turnover between Belarus and India, underlining mutual commitment to common goals and strengthening relations across various sectors. He also noted the increasing bilateral tourism, with India becoming popular among Belarusian tourists.
Reiterating Belarus’s support for India’s bid for a permanent seat at the UN Security Council, Ambassador Kasko advocated for reforms to ensure greater representation of developing countries. He expressed Belarus’s readiness to continue engagement on UNSC reforms guided by the principle of consensus.
