The Back to Village (B2V-5) program’s fifth phase, which commenced in District Pulwama on November 9, has successfully concluded. Executed in two planned phases, the program unfolded across all 190 Panchayats in the District, witnessing active participation from a significant number of residents.
According to a statement by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), the Visiting Officers, serving as emissaries of development, actively engaged with the public, ensuring the community’s voices were heard. This immersive approach included thorough inspections of various projects, emphasizing a hands-on methodology to comprehend and address the specific needs of each locality.The ‘Back to Village 5’ program saw the initiation of projects through Grah Parvesh ceremonies, marking the inauguration of PMAY houses.
Nasha Mukt pledges, a crucial component of the program, were undertaken, reaffirming the government’s commitment to holistic community development and the well-being of Pulwama citizens, ensuring a “Nasha Mukt” Pulwama.The statement highlighted the active involvement of officers and officials from various departments in District Pulwama, emphasizing their pivotal role in the program’s success. Their widespread presence in every Panchayat Halqa ensured that citizens were well-informed about government schemes, with a focus on the saturation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes and self-employment generation initiatives.
Through targeted programs and resources, the ‘Back to Village 5’ initiative aimed to catalyze sustainable livelihoods, foster entrepreneurial spirit, and contribute to the overall economic prosperity of the rural populace. The emphasis was on achieving the “Saturation of Self Employment” at the Panchayat level.
Revenue camps, medical camps, Common Service Centers (CSCs), and bank counters at each Panchayat highlighted the commitment to providing essential services directly to the community, enhancing the program’s impact on rural development and well-being.In addition to these activities, the inauguration ceremonies for newly implemented projects were conducted with due pomp and circumstance.
