Bollywood actress Ananya Panday recently marked her presence at the prestigious Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, showcasing India’s cinematic talent on a global stage. The ‘Dream Girl 2’ star also participated in Vanity Fair’s Women in Cinema panel, adding further accolades to her burgeoning career. Expressing her pride and excitement, Ananya stated, “It’s an honour to be part of an esteemed festival such as the Red Sea International Film Festival. Representing India on this platform is a proud moment for me.”
A Star-Studded Opening Ceremony
The third edition of the Red Sea Film Festival, which began on November 30, featured a dazzling array of international and regional celebrities, including Hollywood A-listers Will Smith and Sharon Stone, acclaimed director Baz Luhrmann, and Bollywood’s own Ranveer Singh. The festival’s opening film was the fantasy ‘HWJN’ by Dubai-based Iraqi director Yasir Al-Yasiri, set in the city of Jeddah itself, aligning perfectly with this year’s festival theme of ‘Your story, your festival’. The event, held in the auditorium of Jeddah’s Ritz Carlton hotel, promises to be a celebration of global storytelling and cinema.
Ananya Panday’s Upcoming Ventures
Ananya’s participation in the festival comes amid her exciting lineup of projects. She is set to appear alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav in the film ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’. Additionally, Ananya is gearing up for her digital debut with the series ‘Call Me Bae’, indicating a new phase in her acting career. Her involvement in international events like the Red Sea Film Festival underscores her growing prominence in the film industry, both in India and abroad. The festival is scheduled to conclude on December 9, leaving ample time for more cinematic exploration and cultural exchange.
