All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district will launch its outpatient department (OPD) services from August 1, according to a spokesperson. This marks a significant milestone in the region’s healthcare development.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the AIIMS Jammu facility on February 20, highlighting its importance for local residents.
During the inauguration, he noted that people of Jammu would no longer need to travel to Delhi for specialized medical treatment, emphasizing the improved access to quality healthcare.
The spokesperson confirmed that AIIMS Jammu will officially commence its OPD services starting August 1, which is a major step in their ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare to the community.
