ADGP Reviews Security, Law And Order in Doda, Kishtwar And Ramban for Elections

In preparation for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, top police and CRPF officials conducted a comprehensive review of security and law enforcement in the Doda, Kishtwar, and Ramban districts.
The high-level team included ADGP Law & Order J&K, Vijay Kumar-IPS, ADGP CRPF J&K Zone Rajesh Kumar-IPS, and ADGP Jammu Zone Anand Jain-IPS, who assessed the current situation to ensure a peaceful election process.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from the CRPF, Army, and district administrations, including SSPs and commanding officers.
Detailed presentations were given by the SSPs of Kishtwar, Doda, and Ramban, highlighting crime trends, security measures, and election preparedness.
ADGP Law & Order J&K, Vijay Kumar, emphasized the need for vigilance and proactive measures to maintain peace during the elections. He urged for robust coordination among security agencies and stressed community engagement as crucial for building trust and ensuring public cooperation.
Kumar also encouraged public outreach programs to educate citizens about their role in a free and fair election.
ADGP CRPF Rajesh Kumar underscored the importance of operational readiness, directing regular mock drills and scenario-based exercises to prepare for any emergencies.
Meanwhile, ADGP Jammu Zone Anand Jain reviewed deployment plans, calling for additional forces in sensitive areas and emphasizing the significance of intelligence gathering.
The officers expressed confidence in the readiness of security forces and the civil administration to handle any law and order challenges during the election period, ensuring a secure environment for the upcoming elections.
