ADGP Kashmir Discredits Allegations of DySP Adil Mushtaq’s Participation in Kokernag Encounter in Video
The Jammu and Kashmir police have moved swiftly to debunk rumors surrounding DySP Adil Mushtaq’s alleged involvement in the Kokernag encounter. These rumors gained traction after a video from a news agency started circulating on various social media platforms.
ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar took to X to dismiss the video as groundless, emphasizing that Adil Mushtaq is currently under investigation for an entirely separate case.
“It has come to our attention that a video news report, purportedly issued by a news agency called Bharat TAK, suggests DSP Adil Mushtaq’s complicity in the Kokernag terror incident, insinuating insider betrayal. We want to make it unequivocally clear that there is absolutely no basis of truth in this video news,” stated the police in response.
