In a tragic incident this morning, one man lost his life, while two others suffered critical injuries in a traffic accident that occurred on the Bandipora-Srinagar highway, according to official reports.

The incident unfolded when a vehicle, registered under the license plate number JK01J 5560, overturned near Asrar Motors in the vicinity of Shilvat. This unfortunate event resulted in injuries to three individuals.

The three injured individuals have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Dar, the son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar, Rafeeq Ahmad Dar, the son of Abdul Majeed Dar, and Saleem Ahmad Dar, all of whom are residents of Gundroshan Narayan Bagh Ganderbal. They were promptly transported to JVC Srinagar for medical attention.

Tragically, Saleem Ahmad Dar was declared deceased upon arrival at the medical facility.

A police official has reported that a case has been registered with FIR number 174/2023, citing sections 279 and 337 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in relation to this incident. Further investigations are underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate accident.
