AAP Discusses Lok Sabha Candidates for Punjab Seats in Meeting at Arvind Kejriwal’s Residence
In preparation for the Lok Sabha elections, a meeting at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence is underway, where the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is discussing candidates for the Punjab Lok Sabha seats. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP Organisation General Secretary Sandeep Pathak, and other prominent leaders are participating in the meeting. The AAP is currently in talks with the Congress regarding a potential alliance in Punjab, and an official announcement is awaited.
Setback for INDIA Bloc as AAP and Congress Workers Join BJP in Chandigarh
Amid political developments, several Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress workers joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Chandigarh ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The induction event took place at the BJP’s office in Chandigarh. Former MP Ashok Tanwar also resigned from the primary membership of AAP, citing ethical concerns due to AAP’s alignment with the Indian National Congress for Chandigarh Mayor elections. The Chandigarh mayoral elections were postponed, and as part of the alliance, AAP is set to contest the mayor’s seat, while Congress candidates aim for the senior deputy mayor and deputy mayor posts.
