AAP Accuses Centre of Targeting Arvind Kejriwal
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the central government of wanting to send Arvind Kejriwal to jail and destroy the party. This comes after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned the Delhi Chief Minister for questioning in a money laundering case related to an alleged excise policy scam. Saurabh Bhardwaj, an AAP leader and Delhi Minister, claims that the ED’s notice to Kejriwal reveals the central government’s intention to finish the party by framing Kejriwal in a fake case and sending him to jail.
Kejriwal Summoned by ED
Arvind Kejriwal has been summoned by the ED for questioning on November 2. He is facing this summons under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), and the agency intends to record his statement during the questioning.
Political Controversy and Allegations
The development adds to the ongoing political controversy surrounding the Delhi Chief Minister and the AAP. The party maintains that this is part of a political vendetta, while the central government insists that it is investigating financial irregularities.
Key Political Figures Under Scrutiny
This incident is part of a broader pattern of scrutiny and investigations involving key political figures across India.
