    Tehran, June 22, 2026 [VoM News]: After nearly an 18 hours of talks with US representatives, the Iran’s senior negotiating team has departed Switzerland for Tehran, as per the Iranian state media reports.

    The delegation went for United States-Iran talks was led by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and included Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Central Bank Governor Abdolnaser Hemmati, Deputy Oil Minister Hamid Boord and veteran nuclear negotiator Ali Bakri.

    While, Iranian news agencies reported that while the senior delegation has returned home, technical-level discussions will continue in Switzerland.

    The remaining team is being headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi and is tasked with working through the implementation details of the Islamabad memorandum of understanding.

    The negotiations are part of ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at advancing understandings reached between Iran and the United States, with technical experts continuing discussions on key political, economic and security-related provisions.
