MLA Doda West Shakti Raj Parihar Meets with LG Manoj Sinha, Raised Important Issues for Security, Development & Infrastructure in Doda Region

Hon’ble MLA, Shakti Raj Parihar, Doda West, today called on Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha and held detailed discussion on several burning issues of erstwhile District Doda.

During the meeting Shakti Raj Parihar strongly emphasize on the pressing need to further strengthen the safety and security framework in the region keeping in view its geographical sensitivity. He emphasized the need to form new Village Defence Guards (VDGs) to empower the local communities for a better security at the grassroots.

The MLA also floated a demand for the setting up of an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Office in Doda Kishtwar Range as he stated that the setting up of such choice would ensure more transparency, responsibility and effective redressal of grievances of the people of the region.

In addition, Shakti Raj Parihar had also urged the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor to take cognizance and expedite the inclusion and implementation of the Dessa Hydroelectric Project under suitable budgetary provision. He emphasized that the timely implementation of this project will go a long way to enhance the development of the region and also provide employment opportunities while strengthening the regional economy.

The Lieutenant Governor gave a patient hearing to all the issues raised and assured about appropriate steps to be taken to address the concerns on priority.

Shakti Raj Parihar renewed his dedication towards the holistic development, security and welfare of the people of Doda West and the entire Chander Bhaga area.
