
Ex-IGP Mohammad Ashraf Bedar Passes Away; Jammu Kashmir Police Mourn
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday expressed deep sorrow over the demise of former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Ashraf Bedar, remembering him as a dedicated officer who rendered invaluable service to the force.
Family sources said that the Nimaz-e-Janaza of the late officer will be offered at 12:00 PM at Gogoland, Humhama. The condolence gathering (Taziya) will be held at Noorani Colony, Lane 2, Pir Bagh, Humhama.
Senior police officers, colleagues and well-wishers condoled his demise, describing him as a professional officer known for his integrity, leadership and commitment to public service.
Meanwhile, in a post on X, Kashmir Zone Police wrote, “All ranks of Jammu & Kashmir Police express profound sorrow on the passing of former IGP Shri Mohammad Ashraf Bedar. His dedicated service and invaluable contributions to the force will always be remembered.”
The police department extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul, acknowledging his significant role and commitment during his tenure in the force. (JKNS)
