
Notorious Drug Peddler Arrested by Jammu Police
08.50 Grams of Heroin (Chitta) Recovered in Sidhra Area.
Jammu, 28-02-2025: In a major crackdown on drug peddling,Jammu Police apprehended a suspect in possession of narcotics during a routine Naka checking at Bajalta Chowk in the Sidhra area. The suspect who was coming from Bajalta towards Sidhra, attempted to flee upon noticing the police presence. However, acting swiftly, the Naka Incharge and his team successfully nabbed him on the spot.
The suspect has been identified as Anwar Ali , son of Anayat Ali, a resident of Dwara, Ragoora. Upon conducting a personal search, police recovered 08.50 grams of heroin like narcotic substance from his possession.
Following the recovery, a FIR under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota, and further investigation into the case is underway.
Jammu Police have reiterated their commitment to curbing drug-related activities and urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movements to assist in maintaining law and order.
