Skill Enhancement for Rural Youth: PM Modi to Inaugurate 511 Rural Skill Development Centers in Maharashtra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch 511 rural skill development centers in Maharashtra, named after late Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pramod Mahajan. The inauguration will take place via video conferencing and these centers will be established across 34 rural districts in Maharashtra.

    Empowering Rural Youth

These centers will focus on conducting skill development training programs across various sectors to provide employment opportunities to rural youth. According to official statements, each center is expected to train approximately 100 young individuals in at least two vocational courses. The training is being carried out in collaboration with industry partners and agencies under the National Skill Development Council.

A Step Toward a Skilled Workforce

The establishment of these skill development centers is seen as a significant step toward enhancing the skills and competencies of the region’s youth. It is aimed at equipping them with the knowledge and expertise needed to tap into various employment opportunities.

    Honoring the Late Pramod Mahajan

The centers are named in honor of Pramod Mahajan, a prominent leader of the BJP who passed away in 2006 at the age of 56. This initiative not only aims to empower rural youth but also serves as a tribute to his contributions.
