Illicit liquor trade poses grave risks to public health, law and order, and revenue loss to the government. Smugglers frequently use concealed transport methods, fake permits, and unauthorized outlets to distribute alcohol illegally. In response, Jammu Police adopted a zero-tolerance approach, arresting key offenders and dismantling supply networks operating across the district.
This sustained campaign is a direct warning to those involved in the illegal liquor trade. The seized liquor, meant for unlawful distribution, has been confiscated, and strict legal action has been taken against offenders under the Excise Act. Jammu Police is committed to eliminating illicit liquor trade and will continue its crackdown with even greater intensity in the coming months.
The public is urged to report any illegal liquor activities to the nearest police station, as community cooperation is vital in ensuring a crime-free society. Jammu Police assures that no illegal activity will be allowed to flourish, and offenders will face immediate arrest and prosecution under stringent laws.
