Pilot Programme NAKSHA: JK Govt Constitutes UT-Level Committees for its implementation

Jammu, Jan 31, 2025 – The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has formally constituted a Union Territory Level Committee and Project Management Unit (PMU) to oversee the implementation of the pilot programme “NAKSHA”.

This initiative aims to streamline land and urban planning processes in selected urban local bodies (ULBs) across the UT.

The move, sanctioned under Government Order No.166-JK(GAD) of 2025, is a step toward modernizing land records and urban development management through digital and geospatial technologies.

The UT-level committee will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing the programme’s progress. Chaired by the Chief Secretary of J&K, it includes senior officials from the Finance, Revenue, and Planning departments.
