The lifeless bodies of a married couple were discovered with their throats slit in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, according to officials.

According to a statement from a police representative, the victims, identified as Mohammad Azam and his wife Gulzar Begum, were found within their residence in Bagla village, located in the Kandi area of Rajouri district.

Upon receiving this distressing information, a joint team comprising local law enforcement and security forces swiftly arrived at the scene and took custody of the bodies for the necessary medico-legal procedures.The official stated that the circumstances surrounding this tragedy would be thoroughly investigated.

“A formal case has been registered, and our inquiries are currently ongoing,” he added.When we reached out to DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range, Dr. Haseeb Mughal, he characterized this incident as a heinous act of brutal murder.
