JK: Navratra Festival begins at Mata Vaishno Devi Cave Shrine in Reasi
The nine-day-long festival of Navratri begins today with great religious fervor, as over 45,000 pilgrims pay obeisance at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Reasi’s Trikuta Hills.
Strong multi-tier security arrangements have been made. On this occasion, the shrine has been adorned with indigenous and foreign flowers, and large pandals have been set up.
To ease the pilgrimage process, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) has started registration counters at Katra railway station to manage the influx of pilgrims during the Navratra period.
