Revival of Congress in Inderwal-Kishtwar after a decade

As of now, Congress was represented by Ghulam Mohammad Saroori in the Inderwal constituency for three terms continuously till the Abrogation of Article 370 from the then Jammu and Kashmir state. This is one of the hotspot assembly constituencies in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly which gets ministry either in state or in cabinet with various protocols.

After the Abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, the Congress representative, a mass leader, and politician Ghulam Nabi Azad resigned from the Congress party and floated their own political party.

Though the resignation was submitted online or offline, the whole cadre went off from the Congress and joined the newly floated political party led by Ghulam Nabi Azad under the name and style Democratic Progressive Azad Party.

In contrast, when G M Saroori shows his distance from Ghulam Nabi Azad-led political party, the whole cadre from District Kishtwar also joined G M Saroori by way of showing sympathy during election campaign rallies for General Elections for Legislative assembly in Jammu and Kashmir 2024 from Inderwal Constituency and puts faith upon G M Saroori by representing him as Independent Candidate from Inderwal Constituency.

The period from 2014 to 2022 wherein the Congress party was represented by G M Saroori from Inderwal Constituency and District Kishtwar but after 2022 to 2024 no one was here in Inderwal constituency to hold the flag of the Congress party wherein despite the 2024 parliamentary elections the Congress party got the majority of vote shares from Inderwal Constituency without any election campaign rallies.

The Assembly Elections 2024 was one of the major factors in Bunjwah politics as the society was and is having a ray of hope in the Congress party and its leadership who believes and mandated a young, educated leader from Inderwal Constituency after a decade when Congress party sees many ups and downs from 2014 parliamentary election to 2024 party.

The revival of the Congress party in the 2024 Parliamentary elections builts hope among voters to build a strong opposition in parliament and oppose all the wrongdoings of BJP-led government in the parliament which results in rural areas such as where no one is openly a supporter of Congress or its contesting candidate but uses the ballot i.e vote in support of both to keep away BJP from the government in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Congress parties Alliance Candidate from Inderwal Constituency Mohammad Zafarullah Sheikh toured the Bunjwah area for two days where 14000 voters were enrolled and held two rallies in Bunjwah area where nearly 200 people participated but a strong message was automatically generated and built among the society to cast their vote in favor of Mohammad Zafarullah Sheikh who is one among the all other contesting candidates who had contributed and sacrifices for the welfare of the society as such he had seen the worst day of his life and knows the pain of common masses.

It is opinionated that the Alliance Candidate of Indian National Congress from Inderwal Constituency is predicted to make a victory over the selfish traditional leaders with a margin of 1800 votes among which Bunjwah will vote 2000 in favor of Mohammad Zafarullah Sheikh and all such voters are real fighter who stands against all such elements who never left any stone unturned to harm the innocent people’s of Inderwal and particularly Bunjwah.
