    In a tragic incident in the Doodpathri area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district, a 7-year-old girl drowned after slipping into Nallah Shaliganga. The victim, identified as Aayat Maqbool, was the daughter of Mohammad Maqbool, a resident of Burran Pattan.

    The accident occurred on Sunday when the young girl lost her footing and fell into the fast-moving stream.

    Immediately following the incident, local authorities launched a rescue operation to recover the child’s body. The efforts proved successful, and Aayat Maqbool’s body was retrieved from the water.

    The incident has been reported to the police, who are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
