District administration Doda issues advisory, advised people not to move near river Chenab
DODA, July 09:- In view of the periodic maintenance of the dam of Dul Hasti Power Station Kishtwar, the Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh issued an advisory for the general public to keep away from the river Chenab.
As per the communication received from the management of Dulhasti Power Station of NHPC Limited has cautioned the general public of Kishtwar and Doda Districts not to move near Chenab river on July 09, 2024 (Tuesday) from (23:00 hours) to July 10, 2024 (23:00 hours) (Wednesday) as power station dam shall be opened for periodic silt flushing during this period, the water level of Chenab River may rise by 2-3 metres.
Hence everybody is requested not to venture near the River bank. They should also avoid their movement of General Public, Vehicles and animals along the bank of river Chenab is strictly prohibited.
This co-operation will support to save the General Public and their belongings.
