Schools in District Doda host summer camps promoting sustainability & healthy living
DODA, JUNE 06: The Directorate of School Education Jammu, in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha proudly announced the commencement of summer camps in schools across District Doda scheduled from June 5 to June 12, 2024, under the supervision of Chief Education Officer Doda Parkash Lal Thapa.
The initiative aims to promote sustainable development and encourage healthy lifestyles among students through a series of educational and engaging activities.On the 2nd day of the schedule notable highlights of the summer camps organized by various schools such as kitchen garden maintaining by staff and students, use of Plastic bottles, Pots, Composite PitsStudents were educated about the importance of composting and its positive impact on soil health and plant.
Students were also educated adopt sustainable food system for healthy lifestyle.These activities are meticulously designed to enhance students’ understanding of environmental conservation and underscore the importance of sustainability with the help of ZICC’s of the educational zones of Doda.
Additionally, Various Schools of the District Doda will host interactive sessions led by school teachers focused on educating students about maintaining a healthy lifestyle. These sessions will provide valuable insights into nutrition, exercise, and overall well-being, ensuring that students prioritize not only their academic growth but also their physical and mental health.
