Karnataka High Court Questions Lack of Basic School Infrastructure

The High Court of Karnataka has criticized the government’s failure to provide basic infrastructure in schools, which is forcing low-income families to send their children to private schools.

The court cited deficiencies in government schools such as the lack of restrooms and drinking water facilities, with 464 schools lacking restrooms and 32 without drinking water facilities.

The court has ordered the government to file an affidavit regarding the provision of basic facilities in all schools within eight weeks.
