Border Security Forces (BSF) intercepted a China-made drone carrying a packet of heroin in Punjab’s Amritsar district during a nighttime operation. Following the interception, BSF troops conducted an extensive search operation and successfully recovered the drone and the suspected narcotics.

The recovered packet, weighing approximately 498 grams, was wrapped in yellow adhesive tape and equipped with a torch and nylon loop. The quadcopter, identified as a DJI Mavic 3 Classic, was found ahead of a border security fence in village Havelian. This incident underscores the ongoing challenges posed by cross-border narcotics smuggling.

Earlier on the same day, BSF and Punjab Police recovered additional packets of suspected heroin in Tarn Taran district. These coordinated efforts highlight the continued vigilance and proactive measures taken by law enforcement agencies to combat drug trafficking in the region.
