Mehbooba Urges Public Response to New Delhi Decisions Through Voting
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday urged people to vote for her initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir after August 2019.
Reply to New Delhi via Mehbooba, who started campaigning in the southern district of Pulwama, urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to respond to New Delhi by voting for its actions in Jammu and Kashmir after August 2019. He urged the youth to support the PDP candidate for the Srinagar parliamentary constituency and said that their voice would be heard in Parliament.
Mehbooba said, “This election is not about electricity, water or MLA race, but it is an opportunity for New Delhi to answer by voting what it did in Jammu and Kashmir after 2019. We have to tell them that the decisions taken on August 5, 2019 and thereafter are unacceptable to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. After 2019, our area has turned into a prison.
Youths are being arrested and transferred to prisons outside”. Describing young party leader Waheed Para as a symbol of the challenges faced by the Kashmiri youth, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti said that our party’s candidate for the Srinagar parliamentary constituency is a clear example of New Delhi’s oppression. He has endured detention, pressure tactics and everything.
He is the one who can sense your anxiety. I appeal to all of you to come forward and vote for our candidate so that a determined voice reaches Parliament.”
