Youth in Rajouri Charged for VPN Usage

Rajouri Police has initiated legal action against another person for using banned VPN in mobile phones. A police team headed by Station House Officer (SHO) Dharamsal, Vikas Kumar, was on routine patrol when they stopped some people for a routine search, police sources said.

He said that during the investigation, it was found that a local person, Mohammad Deshan son of Mohammad Ayub, resident of Brihavi Kalakot, had downloaded and installed three VPN software in his phone, thereby violating the DM’s order. He said that a case has been registered against the concerned person in Rajouri’s Dharamsal Police Station.

SSP Rajouri Amrit Pal Singh (IPS) said that this is the third incident of police action as two such cases have already been registered in the last two days in Rajouri district.
