Key Upgrades in Fourth-Generation AirPods

The upcoming fourth-generation AirPods are anticipated to be the biggest launch in the AirPods lineup yet. These models will feature a new design and enhancements to ensure a better fit for users. Additionally, improvements to the charging case are expected.

Active Noise Cancellation and Find My Speakers

One of the fourth-generation AirPods models is rumored to come with active noise cancellation (ANC), a feature previously exclusive to AirPods Pro models. The mid-tier AirPods will also reportedly include Find My speakers in the case, aiding users in locating their misplaced earphones.

Production and Release Plans

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple suppliers are gearing up for the “biggest AirPods launch to date.” Production is set to commence in May at GoerTek and Luxshare, with an estimated release planned for September or October. The company aims to produce 20 million to 25 million units of the new earbuds.

Future AirPods Pro Models

Following the launch of the fourth-generation AirPods, Apple is expected to introduce a new AirPods Pro model in 2025. This version is likely to feature a new earbud design, H3 chip, and improvements to active noise cancellation (ANC).

Updates to AirPods Lineup with iOS 18

In addition to new hardware, Apple is set to bring updates to its wireless earphones line with the release of iOS 18. AirPods Pro may receive a hearing aid mode and a hearing-test feature to assist users with impaired hearing.

Current AirPods Pricing and Availability

Apple currently offers second-generation AirPods for Rs. 12,900, third-generation models for Rs. 19,900, and AirPods Pro for Rs. 24,900. The company refreshed the AirPods Pro model at its ‘Wonderlust’ event in September last year, introducing a USB Type-C port to the charging case.
