Shahnawaz Hussain Claims BJP to Sweep All 40 Bihar Lok Sabha Seats

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shahnawaz Hussain expressed confidence in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) victory on all 40 seats in Bihar during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He emphasized the unity among political parties and the satisfaction of the people with the BJP.

Strong Alliance in Bihar

Hussain highlighted the robust alliance in Bihar, comprising BJP, HAM, Rasthriya Lok Morcha, and Chirag Paswan’s LJP. He emphasized the cohesion within the alliance, noting the distribution of seats among the parties.

Strategy for Victory & Seat-Sharing Arrangement

Asserting the goal of winning all 40 seats in Bihar, Hussain outlined the strategy under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He reiterated the determination to achieve success and contribute significantly to the overall NDA mission of winning 400 seats.

The BJP will contest 17 seats, Janata Dal-United (JDU) on 16 seats, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) on 5 seats, and one seat each for Hindustani Awam Morcha and Rashtriya Lok Morcha in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Developments and Resignation

Meanwhile, Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) President Pashupati Kumar Paras resigned from the post of Union Minister, citing injustice. The seat-sharing arrangement was announced by BJP’s General Secretary Vinod Tawde at a joint press conference of the Bihar NDA alliance members.

Bihar will undergo polling in seven phases, starting from April 19 and concluding on June 1. The BJP will field candidates in key constituencies across the state.

Previous Election Results

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA secured victory on 39 out of 40 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan managed to secure only one seat. The upcoming elections are scheduled in seven phases, with counting of votes on June 4.
