ED Searches Amba Prasad’s Premises Amidst Scandal Probe
The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) is currently conducting searches at various premises linked to Jharkhand Member of Legislative Assembly, Amba Prasad. These searches are part of investigations into alleged land and transfer-posting scams. The operations include Amba Prasad’s residence in Ranchi and several other locations, including Hazaribagh.
NIA Conducts Raids in 5 States in Terrorist-Gangster Nexus Probe
The central enforcement agency’s Ranchi zonal office received a money laundering complaint against the Congress MLA in 2023. Following this, a Deputy Director-level officer from ED sought information on all FIRs registered against Amba Prasad from the Jharkhand Police. In their correspondence, the ED also inquired about the existence of any predictive offence cases against Amba Prasad. Subsequently, the state police provided the ED’s zonal office with a list of cases registered against the Barkagaon MLA.
