Rohit Sharma Confused by Bazball Term Ahead of Fifth Test Against England

As India prepares for the fifth and final Test against England in Dharamshala, captain Rohit Sharma expressed confusion about the term “Bazball,” stating he wasn’t sure if it meant going to strike, defending, or waiting for a loose ball. The term gained attention after England opener Ben Duckett suggested that Yashasvi Jaiswal’s aggressive playing style was influenced by “Bazball.”

“I have not seen any wild swinging from anyone, so I don’t know exactly what this term means,” Rohit said. He credited England’s improvement in the series to two batters who played well in challenging conditions.

Responding to Duckett’s comment, Rohit humorously mentioned Rishabh Pant, a dynamic Indian player known for aggressive cricket. The fifth Test in Dharamshala will provide both teams with an opportunity to gain World Test Championship points, despite India securing the series. The match is scheduled to begin on March 7 and conclude on March 11, 2024.
