Kashmir IGP Ensures Vigilant Security Grid for Republic Day Celebration
Security measures are in full force to ensure a smooth Republic Day celebration in the Kashmir Valley, according to Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone VK Birdhi. He assured the public that the security grid is both vigilant and active, with coordination between the police and other forces to maintain order during the festivities in Srinagar and other districts.
During a press briefing, IGP Birdhi addressed concerns about potential internet restrictions, stating that currently, there is no such situation, and everyone is encouraged to participate freely in the celebrations. However, he emphasized that strict security measures will be implemented on Republic Day, with clear instructions to ensure that participants face no inconveniences.
When questioned about the possibility of disturbances on the day of the celebration, the IGP reassured the public, stating that the forces are always prepared to thwart and neutralize any untoward situations, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining a secure environment for the Republic Day function.
