Vodafone Idea Denies Talks with Starlink for Collaboration
In a stock exchange filing on Tuesday, Vodafone Idea refuted claims of engaging in discussions with Elon Musk’s satellite internet venture, Starlink, for a potential tie-up. The telecom operator clarified that no talks have been initiated regarding collaboration or involvement with Starlink.
Earlier, reports had circulated, driving Vodafone Idea’s stock to reach a 52-week high on New Year’s Day. Speculations arose from news suggesting a possible sale of the government’s 33% stake in the company to Elon Musk’s Starlink, along with a potential collaboration between Starlink and the telecom carrier.
However, Vodafone Idea’s recent stock exchange filing dismissed these rumors, indicating that no discussions or negotiations regarding collaboration with Starlink have taken place between the two entities.
