Israeli Settlers Accused of Attacking US Journalist Jasper Nathaniel, Two Activists Adele Shoko and Andrey in West Bank
WEST BANK, October 29, 2026 (VoM News): As per social media reports , a US journalist and two activists have been attacked by the Israeli settlers in the Palestinian village of Umm al-Khair, in the Masafer Yatta area of the occupied West Bank.
Russian activist Adele Shoko alleged that her colleagues, US journalist Jasper Nathaniel and Israeli-Russian activist Andrey X, were beaten during the incident and subsequently arrested by Israeli authorities.
In a series of posts on X, Shoko said Andrey was severely beaten and lost consciousness several times in front of police officers. She alleged that he was denied hospital treatment and taken to a police station despite being placed in an ambulance.
Shoko also said she and Nathaniel were beaten, adding that Nathaniel was pepper-sprayed before being arrested.
Videos shared by Shoko reportedly show several men, some carrying weapons, assaulting Nathaniel and Andrey.
Another video shows Nathaniel saying he had been beaten as Israeli forces led him away.
The circumstances surrounding the incident and the allegations of denial of medical treatment were not independently verified in the available information.
The reported attack comes amid continuing tensions and rising violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinians and other individuals in the occupied West Bank.
Earlier this month, Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine and several European diplomats, including Belgium’s consul general, were reportedly injured in separate attacks by settlers.
