BREAKING: Death Toll in Gaza Rises to 8

GAZA, October 25, 2026 [VoM News]: At least eight Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip since dawn on Sunday, according to reports from the ground, as strikes hit areas in the north, centre and south of the territory.

Four people were reportedly killed in northern Gaza, while one person died in the central Deir el-Balah area. Three others were killed in Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

One of the attacks targeted the Islamic University campus in Gaza City. Al Jazeera correspondent Hani Mahmoud reported extensive destruction at the site, with the aftermath indicating the severity of the strike.

Palestinian news agency Wafa earlier reported seven deaths in Israeli bombardments, including people killed near the university campus and in Khan Younis. It later reported additional casualties following a drone strike in the al-Mazraa area, east of Deir el-Balah, where several people were also said to have sustained critical injuries.

Separately, a Palestinian was reportedly shot in the foot by Israeli forces in the al-Faluja area of northern Gaza.

Casualty figures from the different reports varied as information continued to emerge. The latest reported toll could not be independently verified.

According to the figures provided, Israel’s military campaign in Gaza since October 2023 has killed at least 74,544 Palestinians and wounded 175,692 others.
