Renewed War Will Not Change Iran’s Position, Tehran Rules Out Talks Without Conditions: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi

Renewed War Will Not Change Iran’s Position, Tehran Rules Out Talks Without Conditions: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi

TEHRAN, October 25, 2026 [VoM News]: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned that renewed military action by the United States and Israel would not change Tehran’s policies, as tensions rise over the possibility of fresh attacks on Iran.

Speaking at a televised event in Tehran, Araghchi said Iran remained prepared for the consequences of any further conflict and would maintain its existing approach regardless of whether hostilities resumed.

“Recently, there has been talk of a new war, but I am already thinking about the post-war period. Whether there is war or not, our policies remain the same,” he said.

Araghchi added that previous military campaigns had failed to produce a different outcome for Iran, warning that another attempt would yield similar results.

His remarks come amid renewed threats from US President Donald Trump, who said on Friday that Washington could launch another operation against Iran, referring to the earlier military campaign known as “Epic Fury”.

Meanwhile, Abbas Gouzardi, spokesman for the Iranian parliament speaker, said negotiations with Washington would remain meaningless until the United States accepted Tehran’s seven conditions.

Speaking to the state-linked ISNA news agency, Gouzardi described Trump’s recent threats as attempts at intimidation.

He alleged that Washington sought to restrict Iran’s nuclear capabilities and its control over the Strait of Hormuz to ease pressure on the United States.

The statements underline the continuing gap between Washington and Tehran over security, nuclear policy and regional control, with no breakthrough in negotiations reported.
